I Never Worked For Me (Board = Bored)

Full serviced and managed.
During my busniess life – i have never been in a board or close to a board that really worked and moved the business and supported the business to really win/perform/change… Off course its mainly because Im personally so unfocused and low on attention span and bad at details – but I really feel a need for at new way of doing this. And I have decided to LAUNCH a BoardLabel or BoardAgenzy for my own companies/investments (maybe open to others)- so that they will get THE BEST BOARDMEMBERS and BE AS FIT AS POSSIBLE. I think its about being Activist and Acting instead of talking – so I really hope this will fly. I just hired the most powerfull person to run it – and cant wait to tell you more. Only note is – that I really think the Danish Discussion about Cooperate Governance is SICK AND DESTRUCTIVE – specially for smaller companies – so maybe it will be REBEL BOARD LABEL or EXCLUSIVE?
PS. THIS IS NOT EXECUTIVE SEARCH – I JUST HATE THAT WORD MORE THEN BAD BREATH.

In our family we have a very close friend – lets call her Miss C – a truly amassing person. Miss C was not born into a super easy life – but not big trouble either – but over youth she had the most stupid friends one can have and was pretty hard hit by “pure bad company”. Hlin has know her from childhood and I always just liked her from my hearth – not like many other of her friends (who are pretty fucked up – like your partners friend are by default 
)
So to the point – Miss C has over the last year transformed from having a small depression – achieved at the work as a social wellfareworker – where she had people spitting her in the face and piles of papers on her desk with unsolved cases of “removing babys/kids from their parrents” – so so so bad that ANYONE WOULD HAVE GOTEN DEPRESSED. Also keeping in mind that even I cant sleep really well after hearing her tell about how these cases “with kids who are getting really bad treated” are just not solved due to lack of personal… BUT BUT BUT – after 12-18 months of really having problems staying home and not working – our AMAZING FRIEND – this MISS C – has reinvented herself – got a new job started taking coaching classes (and I was not found of the Idea – I was putting it in the Numerology league). SHE IS NOW HAPPIER THEN EVER AND HAS SO MUCH POSITIVE ENERGI and is so inspirering to be around – congratulation to the human drive and transformation ability of the brain – I LOVE LIFE.

I invested in these guys 18 months ago – and it was classic – all was amazing when I came in XuQa – and then we saw a change in the market. Normal kids – sorry but they are – would have started crying and bitching – but these guys just changed their business and found a new angle – reinvented themselves from being SocialNetwork – to becoming a leader in Virtual Currency…. No crap – no complaining – it just happened over night and bang now revenue is flying in and Im feeling even more lucky!!! Thanx to these Pakistani WUNDERKIDS!

Today I had a 100% fantastic expirience. I was invited to the FREEWAY BAD ASS CAMP – where this Danish online empire -> Number one in Dating, Auctions, Partyphotos (new category), Teen Flirting and much more. Henrik, Morten and UPDATE (Morten Sr. is also a very important part) started this as a garage project 9 years ago – and today they have the most sexy and profitable online/media company in the world (looking at impact pr. capita – pitty its only present in Denmark). The 15 companies they own – always with 51% minimum – are all build with fokus on social/community features and paying subscribers – even the auction site has 33%+ paying subscribers – and now they are starting to see the advertising revenue kicking – and THEY CANT STOP SMILING – they feel its FREE PROFIT – nearly too easy. Wow – I wish I had made some video – but Im having a PODCASTING MENTAL BLOCK – I simply dont feel comfortable taking out the cam – darn…
So anno 2007 – hearing these hot hot companies and the 3 majority owners and 20 minority owners (all web entrepanuers to the bone) – speak and discuss and exchange knowledge was like being in heaven for me. And when i gave my shameless selfpromoting presentation – I had to jump over all 12 slides about – >”Just do it” -> “Act” -> “Imagine how cool its would be” – because these guys where allready many times there…
And then on top of all this – we where picked up in Wagner Jr. plane – it was my first time in such a small plane – and I got totally – high.
Its All About People
Tommy (CEO @ Zyb) is the proof of investeing in people and gutfeeling. I meet Tommy summer 2005 – thanx to Nicolaj Refstrup – and I was 100% convinced that I wanted to work with him after 5min. Now – nearly 2years later- one time bankrupsi – he has proven to be a FANTASTIC LEADER – and inspiration to the now 20 people working at Zyb. And Zyb has been awarded best startup in Denmark and Red Herring Top100 European company. And Tommy is still only using 20% of his potential – I FUCKING LOVE IT !!!
