I Never Worked For Me (Board = Bored)
A Record Label for Board Members or Maybe lets call it and Activist Commitment Agency:
Making a 360 board activist
concept for companies with
8-20 world class internationalboard members in a record label
like setup.
Full serviced and managed.
During my busniess life - i have never been in a board or close to a board that really worked and moved the business and supported the business to really win/perform/change… Off course its mainly because Im personally so unfocused and low on attention span and bad at details - but I really feel a need for at new way of doing this. And I have decided to LAUNCH a BoardLabel or BoardAgenzy for my own companies/investments (maybe open to others)- so that they will get THE BEST BOARDMEMBERS and BE AS FIT AS POSSIBLE. I think its about being Activist and Acting instead of talking - so I really hope this will fly. I just hired the most powerfull person to run it - and cant wait to tell you more. Only note is - that I really think the Danish Discussion about Cooperate Governance is SICK AND DESTRUCTIVE - specially for smaller companies - so maybe it will be REBEL BOARD LABEL or EXCLUSIVE?
PS. THIS IS NOT EXECUTIVE SEARCH - I JUST HATE THAT WORD MORE THEN BAD BREATH.

I’ve learned from my partner Lars-Göran Andersson that a start-up/SME works best applying “the circus concept”, whether it’s the the board, daily management, staff or whatever. At a circus everyone are artists in the arena, everyone are raising the tent together, selling tickets, feeding the animals, developing new concepts and performances etc. I think the activist featured board approach is an excellent idea in the same spirit! Well, you raise a good point. The thing is that companies always eventually end up with a closed circle of the same old white men. Some do it for the money and others for the prestige. In general a lot of current board members simply shouldn’t even be in a board due to their lack of genuine interest. Politicians is probably the worst example because they get a lot of board positions and in many cases don’t even show up for a single meeting!
The general business view on “top talent” is simply just distored. The fatal mistake is to only look for business people based on a very limited set of criteria. This could for instance be people already having a top position, a personal network connection, high-grade business degree or the like.
This is why companies today get bunch of detached and talentless people who throw a lot of fluffy words around and don’t make a real difference. To be honest I’ve always wondered if they’re really making a difference and if the company could do better with a group of truly talented people. Also how bad such a detached board could fuck up before anyone would notice.
I agree that Executive Search is a terrible word. Personally I’m really looking forward to see how you will solve the problem of finding the talented and engaged people. At the same time I’m also hoping to see a more diverse set of board members. Young people do for instance have all the visions and innovative ideas. Anyone who get a big break will also be more involved than someone who at least on paper seem more qualified.

У меня такой вопрос,кто что интересное подскажет буду признателен.
Мы с друзьями собираемся поехать в круиз по просторам России и ближнего зарубежья месяца на два на своих машинах,но не как не можем согласовать маршрут,если у кого уже был опыт такого путешествия,может,что посоветуете.Девчонок с собой не берем,думаем,что во все городах России с этим не будет проблем,если у кого будут рекомендации и в вопросе отдыха с девушками тоже буду признателен.
