Draper Fisher Jurvetson - Steve Jurvetson is not only smart - he is also extremely productive - wow - I feel so veryvery small compared to this geek. I met him last year at Half Moon Bay DFJ´s ceo summit - and I was impressed.

And yes he is smart. The investment in Technorati will prove to have been very smart in a few years.
Since you’ve met him, maybe you’d know why DFJ isn’t the only VC involved at Technorati? I guess Technorati could benefit from just having one, since they are already going from a rough time so there must be a lot of mixed signals coming from their VCs.
I don’t know much about the situation other than DFJ invested something like $6.5M with August Capital and Mobius VC.

Well I did not ask him that specifik Q. But the is something that I oftenly think about - american VCs always take all their close VC FRIEND FIRM into the deals - and thereby polutes the picture. I think is done from a - THE MORE NETWORKS TO HELP OUT - THE BETTER - idae. I actually see myself doing the same - IN MICRO SCALE - in my new ventures both to spread risk nd network.
I bet there is 10-20 books about this - things is I dot really read
